Mahmood Tibi: (Death 1140 A.H /1727 A.D)

                           Mahmood Tibi was a descendant of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (sallalahu alaihi wa sallam). He was also known as MamunaLebbai. His father name was Sayyid Sadakathulla and a grand father was Sayyid Abdul Kareem. He was closely related to Lebbai Appa brothers. He was a student and disciple of Sadakathulla Appa. He was the author of several books both in prose and poetry. He was a scholar in Arabic. Arabu Tamil and Persian.He has composed Mawlids on these great saints namely Muhyideen Abdul Qadir Jilani(1078 – 1165 A.D)Khaja Muinuddin Chisti of  Ajmeer (1135 – 1229 A.D) Shahul Hameed of Nagore (1504 –  1570 A.D)The following are some of his works. Izamul Fawaid fi Nizamil Aqaid, Aynudh Dhawey Hadiquahul Asrar,Miratul Muhaggigin. Asirah (Biography) of our Noble Prophet in Arabu Tamil in also attributed to him. It was he who gave details to umar Pulavar to compose Sirapuranam on the advice of his guide Sadakathulla Appa. He has translated several books of Arab authors including “Insanul Kamil” of Abdul Kareem al Tibi” .His shrine is at Parangi Pettai (Porto Novo)
