Periya Uvaisna Lebbai Alim Wali: (Around 1080 A.H / 1669 A.D)

                                                He was a son of Shaikh Muhammad alias Shaikh Mahmood and a grand son of Shaikh Abdul Aziz. His mother was a daughter of Saint Shaikh Ali whose tomb is at Vedalai. His maternal uncle was Saint Abdul Qadir Alias Akka Lebbai Alim. It was said that Uvaisna   Lebbai Alim got married the eldest daughter of Abdur Rahman Waliyullah and a grand daughter of Periya Shamsuddeen Waliyullah. He was a great scholar and a saint. He was  a cousin of Noohu Waliyullah, the author of Waythapuranam. His birth date is unknown, but he lived during 1080 A.H. He was buried at Kodimara Siru Nainar Palli graveyard. The author’s family is a descendant of this eminent Waliyullah.
