Abubackar Waliyullah: (Death 847 A.H / 1443 A.D)

                                          Abubackar Waliyullah’s tomb is at karup- udaiyar Palli campus which is very close to Muhyidden Matriculation Higher Secondary School. Karup-udaiyar Mosque is very ancient Mosque which is assumed to be built between 900 and 950 A.D. on basis of stone inscription found in that mosque. Elders say that Saint Abubackar was a powerful Gnostic who guided people who lost their ways in that area during night times. He has Tasarufath power. In that area many Saints lived in olden days who used to wear long black dresses. As they wore black dresses, the mosque where they had performed prayers, was called Karupu-udaiyar Palli. He passed away on 847A.H (1443 A.D) Near his tomb, there is another tomb of great person but the details inscribed on it are not clear. A pond was near this  mosque which was closed very recently.
 

ஹஜ்ரத் அபுபக்கர் வலி ரலியல்லாஹு அன்ஹு.

இவர்கள் கீழநெய்னார் தெருவின் கிழக்குப் பகுதியில் உள்ள  கற்புடையார் வட்டத்தில் அமைந்திருக்கும் கற்புடையார் பள்ளியில் அடங்கியுள்ளார்கள். இவர்கள் கபுறு ஷரீஃபை விட்டு எழுந்து செல்லும் சக்தி பெற்றவர்களாக தகழ்ந்து இருக்கிறார்கள்.

இவர்களின் மறைவு ஹிஜ்ரி 847. ஓவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் கந்தூரி சிறப்பாக நடைபெறுகிறது.
