Saint Falilullah: (Death 595 A.H / 1198 A.D)

                                Falilullah Waliyullah alias Ekee Appa arrived at Kayalpatnam along with Khalifa Appa and Sayyid Ibrahim Waliyullah on 582 A.H. Saint Falilullah was appointed as a military commander of Tinnelveli division by Saint Sayyid Ibrahim. Arab solidiers who came with Sayyid Ibrahim Waliyullah partly stayed at Kayalpatnam under the marshal Falilullah Wali and large numbers of Arab soliders went with Saint Ibrahim to Madurai and stationed at Erwadi. Once the army under the command of marshal Falilullah Wali fought with Chola army and saved the Pandiyan Kingdom from the occupation of Chola King. With the help of Sayyid Ibrahim Waliyullah , Khalifa Waliyullah and the marshal  Falilullah Waliyullah Kopandiyan alias Kulasekaran Pandiyan ruled Pandiyan Kindom. Most of the Arab soliders were sent back to Arabia by ship from Kayalpatnam port. Kayalpatnam was developed under the grace and assistance of Khalifa Wali and Falilullah Wali. Around 595 A.H. Thiru Pandiyan brother of Kulasekaran Pandiyan returned from Thirupathy with huge army and attacked Pandiyan Kingdom. In the battle Falilullah Wali was killed and became a martyr. His shrine is at Deevu street.
