22. Salar Maraicar Waliyullah: (Death 848 A.H / 1444 A.D)
Salar Maraicar Waliyullah was a great mystic. He like Abubackar Waliyullah, did many miracles. His shrine is on the eastern side of the Erataikulam Mosque which is also called as Meekayeel Masjid. Accoring to a reporter, he was also called Abdur Rahman. He was a distinguished Scholar and a Qutb of his time. In olden days there were two tanks in which peole take bath and oblutions.one tank which was close to the tomb of Salar Maraicar , was a famous swimming pool where many people learnt swimming, but few lost their lives also. Swords and and other weapons were found out when they dug near the tank. Those weapons were said to be used during the war between Muslims and Portuguese in 1532. Saint Sadakathulla Appa spent most of his time in meditation in this mosque. A lady Saint tomb and a lady Thaika (Sadakathulla appa Thaika) are near to this mosque. Jalaliya Nikkah Majlis which is near the mosque is an excellent one with all facilities. This marriage hall and the Jalaliya Sangam are inside the campus of this mosque.
