Sayyid Magudoom Waliyullah: 446 – 539 A.H. / 1043 –  1133 A.D.

          He was born in Madina in 446 A.H. His name was Muhammad alias Sayyid Magudoom. He was one of the seventeenth descendants of our noble prophet Muhammad (sallalahu alaihi wa sallam). He traces his descent from Hussain (Raliallahu anhu). His father Sayyid Muhammad (Rali allahu anhu) was an eminent scholar and a leader of Madina. He was respected and honoured by all. His mother was Magudoom Fathima. She was holy lady and respected by the people of Madina. The Mosque and the Darha were called Magudoom Palli and Magudoom Darha after her name Magudoom Fathima. Magudoom Wali used to teach and preach at the streets of Madina. He was in the habit of staying at Masjid Al – Nabawi often to get the grace of his great grand father our Holy Prophet Muhammad (sallalahu alaihi wa sallam). It is said that Magudoom Waliyullah came here after getting instructions and blessings in a dream from our noble Prophet Muhammad (sallalahu alaihi wa sallam). He came kayalpatnam and settled here with his relatives and friends. He spread Islam throughout Tinnelveli District. He helped Pandiyan Kingdom Whenever they requested his assistance. He was killed in a war and buried here around 539 A.H. His father and Erwadi Sayyid Ibrahim Waliyullah’s grand father were brothers. The celebrated Islamic scholars and saints like Hujjuthul Islam Imam  Gazzalee (Raliallahu anhu) (458 – 505 A.H), Ghouthul Alam Muhyideen Abdul Qadir Jailani (Raliallahu anhu ) (470 – 561 A.H) and Magudoom Waliyullah (Raliallahu anhu) (446 –  539A.H) were all lived in the same period. Two inscriptions found at Magudoom Palli Darha  are very important which provide ample information about Kayalpatnam. Magudoom Waliyullah performed many miracles by his spiritual insight. Even today people affected by gnomes, sorcery and incurable diseases visit Magudoom Waliyullah’s Darha for cure and happiness by the mercy of Allah.

In the Mogudoom Palli Darha, there are six other tombs which are said to be the tombs of saints who came with him from Arabia. Almost all of them are descendants of our Holy prophet Muhammad (sallalahu alaihi wa sallam). On the opposite side of his Darha there are tombs of  Pal Appa (Sayyid Jamal), Seeni Appa (Sayyid Ahmad) and King Abdulla. These saints are contemporary of Magudoom Wali.
 

    செய்யிது மகுதூம் வலியுல்லாஹ் ரலியல்லாஹு அன்ஹு:

இவர்கள் மதீனாவில் ஹிஜ்ரி 446 ல் நாயகம் ஸல்லல்லாஹு அலைஹி வஸல்லம் அவர்களின் வமிசப் பரம்பரையில் 17வது தலைமுறையாக பிறந்தார்கள். இவர்களின் பெயர் முஹம்மது என்ற செய்யிது மஹ்தூம். இவர்களின் தகப்பனார் செய்யிது முஹம்மது ரலியல்லாஹு அன்ஹு அவர்கள் மதீனாவில் மிகப்பெரிய இறைநேசராக் திகழ்ந்தார்கள். தாயார் பெயர் மஹ்தூம் பாத்திமா. தாய், தந்தை இருவர்களும் மக்களால் போற்றப்படுபவர்களாகவும், மதிக்கப்படுபவர்களாகவும் இருந்தார்கள். இந்த பள்ளி மற்றும் தர்ஹா இவர்களின் பெயராலேயே மஹ்தூம் பள்ளி மற்றும் மஹ்தூம் தர்ஹா என்று அழைக்கப்படுகிறது. மஹ்தூம் வலி அவர்கள் மதீனாவில் மஸ்ஜிது நபவியில் அடிக்கடி தங்குபவர்களாகவும் நபிகள் நாயகம் ஸல்லல்லாஹு அலைஹி வஸல்லம் அவர்களின் ஆசியைப் பெறுபவர்களாகவும் இருந்தார்கள்.

நாயகம் ஸல்லல்லாஹு அலைஹி வஸல்லம் அவர்கள் கனவில் உத்தரவிட்டதற்கிணங்க மதீனாவிலிருந்து தம் குடும்பத்தார்கள் மற்றும் நண்பர்களுடன் புறப்பட்டு காயல்பட்டணம் வந்து தங்கி இஸ்லாத்தைப் பரப்பினார்கள். இச்சமயத்தில் பாண்டிய மன்னரின் வேண்டுகோளுக்கு இணங்க அவர்களுக்கு உதவி புரிபவர்களாகவும், ஆலோசனை சொல்பவர்களாகவும் இருந்தார்கள். ஹிஜ்ரி 539 ல் நடைபெற்ற போரில் ஷஹீதாக்கப்பட்டு அங்கு அடக்கப்பட்டார்கள். இவர்களின் தந்தையும் ஏர்வாடி செய்யிது இப்றாஹீம் வலி ரலியல்லாஹு அன்ஹு அவர்களின் தந்தையின் தந்தையும் உடன்பிறந்த சகோதரர்கள். ஹுஜ்ஜத்துல் இஸ்லாம் இமாம் கஸ்ஸாலி மற்றும் ஹஜ்ரத் கௌதுல் அஃலம் ஆகியோர்கள் வாழ்ந்த காலக்கட்டத்தில் இவர்கள் வாழ்ந்தார்கள்.
 

இவர்கள் மிகவும் கராமத்து உடையவர்களாக விளங்குகிறார்கள். சிஹ்ரு, சூனியம், வஞ்சனை, நாட்பட்ட நோய்கள் உள்ளவர்கள் இவர்களிடம் வந்து சுகம் பெற்று செல்கிறார்கள்.

இந்த தர்ஹாவுடன் சேர்த்து 6 கபுருகள்; இருக்கின்றன. அனைவர்களும் நாயகம் ஸல்லல்லாஹு அலைஹி வஸல்லம் அவர்கள் வமிசவழியைச் சார்ந்தவர்கள் மட்டுமில்லாமல் முத்து மொகுதூம் வலி அவர்களுடன் அரேபியாவிலிருந்து இங்கு வந்து குடியேறியவர்கள்.

இந்த தர்ஹாவிற்கு எதிர்புறமாக பால் அப்பா (செய்யிது ஜமால்);, சீனியப்பா (செய்யிது அஹ்மது), மன்னர் அப்துல்லா போன்ற மகான்கள் அடங்கியிருக்கிறார்கள்.

இந்த தர்ஹாக்கள் அனைத்தும் திருச்செந்தூரிலிருந்து காயல்பட்டணம் வரும் வழியில் இருக்கின்றன.
