Salahuddin Waliyullah: (Death 818 A.H / 1415 A.D)

         Saint Salahuddin came from Cairo with his brothers Saints Jaffer Sadiq and Sayyid Hussain and settled at Kayalpatnam. The date of their arrival was unknown. But they were great scholars and saints. Salahuddin Waliyullah performed many miracles during his life time and after his demise. He has “Tasarufath” power. Once Kattaibomman planned to attack Kayalpatnam people for refusing to pay tax. Salahuddin Wali realized the proposed attack by his inner feelings and drove them out when they marched into Kayalpatnam border . Another incident was that once when the army was about to attack the Jamia Mosque at Erukulam Pettai in Ceylon during a riot, he reached the spot on a horse and prevented the attack and saved the people.  Both the public and the army were astonished and enquired who he was . He simply replied that he was Salahuddin of Kayalpatnam. After few months some Erukulam Pettai people came to kayalpatnam and visited his shrine. He performed numerous miracles. The year of his demise was 818 A.H (1415 A.D). His tomb is at Mayla Palli or Salahuddin Palli.
