Saheed Sayyid Ahmad Wali: (Death 670 A.H. 1272 A.D)
Saint Sayyid Ahmad was a son of Saud and he came from Arabia. His tomb is at Kutba Siru Palli which is situated at Nainar street. There are seven tombs including his tomb. The details of these tombs are recorded by the department of Archaeology, in its Annual report of India Epigraphy for 1949 – 1950. The following are the names of saints. (A) Shaikh Hassan was a martyr. He died on Sunday 22nd Jammathul Akir 794 A.H. (B) Shaikh Sayyid Ahmad Was also a martyr . He died on Monday 17th Jammathul Akir 670 A.H. His tomb is the earliest among the seven. (C) Ahmad Nachi was the daughter of Ramalan. The date of her demise was on 9th DulHajj 808 A.H. (D) Moulana Siddiq was a son of Ali and grand son of Saud. His date of demise was on Wednesday 9th Ramadan 812 A.H. (E) Abdul Malik was a son of Sayyid Ahmad and a grand son of Saud and he died on Wednesday 4th Sawwal , 812 A.H. (F) Beevi Mariyam was a daughter of Sayyid Ahmad. Her date of death was Thursday 8th Rajab, 822 A.H. (G) Shaikh Abubackar Was a son Uthuman Kahiri who died on Wednesday 22nd Rabiyul Awwal 853 A.H. All the seven persons were saints. The Arabic inscription on the seven tombs are very clear and unambiguous. Kutba sirupalli is one of the oldest mosques in Kayalpatnam. It was demolished in 1992 and was rebuilt between 1993 and 1996. The structure and style of this mosque is marvelous.
